Bill Galston
OBE, eCOGRA Independent Director
A retired Chief Inspector of the Gaming Board for Great Britain, Bill Galston served for more than 25 years with the British Board and as head of the UK Board's Inspectorate, responsible for investigations, compliance and enforcement. In 1997, he was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in Her Majesty the Queen's New Year's Honours list for services and achievements in gaming regulation.
Through his own company Galston Associates and as a Director of Gambling Governance Ltd., Galston provides consultancy services in government relations, gaming regulation and compliance to the public and private sectors. An independent chairman of Gaming Compliance Committees in Britain and overseas, he also served as a specialist advisor to the Department of Culture Media and Sport Parliamentary Select Committee, and the Joint Scrutiny Committee assisting in a review of the Gambling Bill later enacted as the Gambling Act 2005.
Galston is a Vice President and Trustee of Gamcare, the UK national centre for information, advice and practical help in relation to the social impact of gambling. He is a past chairman of the International Association of Gaming Regulators, an associate member of the International Association of Gaming Attorneys and the International Masters of Gaming Law. He is a faculty member of the University of Nevada Casino Executive Development Program.
